Getting started on your journey

One of the most common problems that people have is getting off to a proper start. Typically we seek out help and either find an expensive trainer + package or an overload of information from the internet coupled with programs that we simply can’t stick to. So what is the hardest thing about starting? It’s getting off to a start that we can sustain and build on rather than doing something for a short while then burning out as the majority of people do.

The best way to get started again is to take the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid). Don’t overwhelm yourself by setting outlandish goals. Remember, fitness like anything else is a journey. When you started your career, did you tell yourself that you had to be earning a certain amount within 1 month or a year? Of course not, you set your ambitions and worked towards long term success. In the same way that you can’t expect to be promoted day after day, you shouldn’t concern yourself with seeing results

There seems to be a lot of confusion when it comes to cardio. The general public has the impression that more cardio equals more fat burned and that hitting the treadmill is the best way to go. Wrong, nothing could be further from the truth. There are several reasons as to why you should mix up your cardio routine.
